Overview

As General Manager, you will help us inspire the next generation of scientists, programmers, roboticists, and engineers. You will have a variety of responsibilities aimed at encouraging a friendly and supportive environment for our staff and customers. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader who can help Einstein’s Workshop grow and thrive.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the General Manager fall into three primary categories.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations; Ensure employees work productively, develop professionally, and follow safety regulations.  Represent Einstein’s Workshop to customers to address customers’ needs and questions.
  • Plan and implement schedules for classes, camps, and staffing:  Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.  Handle accreditation paperwork for summer camp.  Coordinate and build relationships with offsite partners.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth:  Set policies and processes.  Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.  Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.

While previous experience is great, we can provide training to the right candidate.

Hours and Logistics Details

You will work five days a week, including both Saturday and Sunday during the school year. You will work Monday through Friday during the summer.

Work will primarily be located at Einstein’s Workshop, 25 Adams street, Burlington MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEAM or education field, or several years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a General Manager, Program Director, or similar executive role is a plus
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.).
  • Experience in planning and budgeting.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 20+ pounds.
